Wonderful rooms and comfy with shower, a large comfortable bed plus a spacious bathroom. Satisfactory selection for breakfast with the sausages, third rate plus Luke warm water. Great setting, just next door to the town center and the town centre of Grantham...

Generally, the place was fascinating and had attentive and immensely pleasant staff on the reception desk. The restaurant was very nice for dinner here, I had excellent dishes. En suite bathrooms, that included a bath.

The room was nice with a large bathroom, with essentials required. the hotel was set in a very central area just next door to Grantham town centre near all the bars, bar/restaurant, and Nottingham.

Central location, yet quiet. Very original, as it is the oldest inn in England. A bit outdated.
The shower was bad: the hose was leaking so that most of the water did not reach the shower head.

Have now stayed several times but this visit was the best - Room 112 with curtained four poster bed - fabulous! Plus discovered nearby Nepalese/Indian Restaurant called Everest Inn at 7 Westgate - best Indian meal I have ever had in UK..

The reception staff was helpful and competent, and the rooms were newly furnished, pet-friendly, had comfortable beds, and had large windows. Rewritten: the staff at the front desk was competent and helpful, and the rooms were recently renovated, pet-friendly, with cozy beds and big windows.
